NCSE - Introduction to Planning for Special Education (Primary)

This 2 hour seminar provides an overview of the Updated SET Guidelines and Indicators of Effective Practice for primary teachers.
Event Description
The primary class teacher and special education teacher will gain a deeper understanding of:
- The SET Guidelines and Indicators of Effective Practice to support the meaningful inclusion of children with special educational needs
- The 8 Guiding Principles
- Roles and Responsibilities
- The 7 Key Actions
- The problem-solving process, in identifying, supporting, monitoring and reviewing special educational needs
- The importance of planning for Transitions.
What participants need:
- Each teacher should be familiar with Circular 0064/2024 and associated
- Guidelines for Primary Schools and Indicators of Effective Practice.
- A QR code with practical resources will be provided on the day. Participants are encouraged to bring a digital device for accessibility purposes.
An NCSE Certificate of Attendance is available to participants.
