Nature's Classroom: Science & Art In The National Park (Glenveagh National Park) - FULL Teaching and Learning Through Nature
Immerse yourself in the rich landscapes of one of Ireland’s National Parks and discover how nature can become a powerful classroom. This inspiring course connects biodiversity with the curriculum, supporting a whole-school approach to meaningful, outdoor learning.

Throughout the week, you will:
  • Explore woodland and peatland habitats and their unique ecology
  • Build confidence in identifying Irish plants and animals, with a special focus on native irish woodlands
  • Use visual arts to celebrate and embed learning about nature
  • Develop skills to plan and lead effective outdoor and creative learning experiences
  • Discover how digital technology can enhance nature-based learning
  • Learn how to incorporate citizen science into your teaching
  • Create and maintain a nature journal to support reflection and inquiry

Please note: As this course involves extensive outdoor activities, participants should come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear.
