Certification: Successful participants will receive a "Cardiac First Responder (Community Level)" certificate and card issued by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (P.H.E.C.C.) and Irish Water Safety (I.W.S.)
Content: Adult, Child and Infant Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.), using an Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.), Safe Airway / Recovery Position, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (F.B.A.O.) / Choking, Cardiovascular Diseases (Heart Attack and Stroke), contacting the Emergency Medical Services (E.M.S.), handing over to the Emergency Medical Services (E.M.S.) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.)
A Cardiac First Responder (Community Level) is a person trained in the following areas: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.), using an Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.), the Safe Airway / Recovery Position, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (F.B.A.O.) / Choking, Cardiovascular Diseases (Heart Attack and Stroke), contacting the Emergency Medical Services (E.M.S.), handing over to the Emergency Medical Services (E.M.S.) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.)
Cardiac First Responders (Community Level) can use the skills they learn on this course to respond to adults, children and infants who have suddenly collapsed due to respiratory, cardiac or cardiovascular emergencies. Cardiac First Responders (Community Level) play a vital role in keeping a person alive until they can receive expert clinical care.
