The use of visual imagery and Graphic Organisers to develop Comprehension skills
This workshop will analyse the dual coding theory and how we think in pictures as op-posed to words. The world of comprehension compromises 12 key skills that bring children into the world of using reading to learn. There will be a comprehension lesson modelled using a Venn Diagram and a Picture Book.
This webinar will be supported by a resource pack.
Catherine Gilliland is a very experienced Literacy trainer and storyteller. She uses an innovative and engaging presentational style to engage her audiences and has had her work published. All her webinars come with a resource pack to support the teachers in their classrooms.This webinar is hosted by Carrick Education Centre, in partnership with Donegal Education Centre.
