Effective Interventions for Struggling Readers
This workshop which is run in collaboration with County Donegal Education Centre will provide teachers of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) with the most up to date knowledge and resources that are available in the area of literacy. The course is suitable for primary and post primary SEN teachers. Unfortunately substitute cover cannot be provided for the release of teachers.
Objectives:
- Impart an overview of up to date research about teaching literacy to struggling readers.
- To examine what works in Irish schools based on evidence based practice.
- To view videos of Irish teachers implementing programmes.
- To become familiar with NEPS Web Resources that are available to assist SEN teachers in this area
