Using Tablets and Online Tools for Literacy and Numeracy

This course features the use of Tablets (iPads) and relevant applications ‘apps’ as well as other online and collaborative tools useful websites and software for literacy and numeracy development. This course includes links to short videos demonstrating ICT integration in the Primary School Classroom. Each module includes discussion of classroom applications and specific reference to the use of ICT for literacy, numeracy, assessment and SEN.
All participants must have their own/school activated tablet (iPad) for the duration of this course, an individual/school iTunes account and an individual email address. Participants should have some experience of carrying out basic ICT tasks (opening, editing, saving, closing files) and ideally have used an Internet browser. A list of apps is required to be downloaded prior to course commencement. Participants will be notified via e-mail of the relevant apps.
