Who is it for and what is it about?
The new 'T-REX Digital Badge: Using Evidence to Address Educational Disadvantage' (funded by Shared Island) is for teachers/educators in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland who want to:
- Better understand educational disadvantage and its impact on learning experiences and outcomes.
- Engage with research by developing skills to find, review, and critique educational evidence.
- Apply learning to encourage evidence-informed decision making and practice.
Start and completion dates: 26.01.2026 (live webinar at 7pm) until 03.04.2026 (incl. break for mid-term)
Duration: 9 weeks | 25 hours total | Fully flexible
Cost: Free
Course format:This online course offers a mix of:
- Self-directed online modules and live webinars (held in the evenings, also recorded)
- Peer group meetings (online or face-to-face if feasible)
- Engagement with the T-REX platform and forum
- Tutor support throughout.
