Behaviours of Concern and Positive Handling Training - Face to Face

Behaviours of Concern and Positive Handling Training - Face to Face

Introduction:

The course is suitable for Primary & Post Primary teachers and SNAs and has been designed in line with the Department of Education recent (Nov 2024) guidance on Behaviours of Concern, and looks at best practice in assisting children in crisis. The focus for staff is always the least restrictive option in gaining control and assisting children in a positive way with least intervention.  We need to look holistically at the root cause of the behaviour and identify ways to distract and deflects the behaviour. The course looks at the legal implications and gives staff confidence to act appropriately. This course is ideally suited for staff such as teaching staff and SNA`s that are involved with children. The course references your local policies and procedures.
