Included below is a summary of all CPD events for the upcoming week beginning 30th March 2026 aswell as some other highlights in March and April 2026 and beyond.

  • NCSE Events - Details of any upcoming NCSE Teacher Professional Training can be found here. To register for any of this training please click here.

Latest Surveys

  • Healthy Ireland Framework - the Department of Health is currently undertaking a public consultation on the new Healthy Ireland Framework to get their views and help shape the future direction of health and wellbeing policy in Ireland. The consultation is open until 22nd of April and submissions can be made online via this link.
  • Student Voice Practices in Irish Primary Classrooms - a study is currently being carried out on Student Voice Practices in Irish Primary Classrooms, and we’re hoping to hear directly from practicing primary teachers across all class levels and school contexts in Ireland. If you’re a primary teacher, or if you work with, mentor, or support teachers, we would really appreciate if you could complete and/or share our short survey with your networks. Survey link is here. It should only take about 10 minutes to complete. Your insights will play an important role in helping us understand how student voice is being implemented in classrooms across Ireland.
  • AI and Social MediaDr. Michele Dunleavy Assistant Professor in Inclusive Education for Children with Special Educational Needs at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick together with Prof. Fiona McNicholas are involved in research at UCD. They are trying to contact as many teachers as possible to ask them to complete an online survey. This research examines the effect of AI and social media on students in schools, both primary and post-primary. Survey link is here.
  • National Policy Framework for Children and Young People - The Child Rights Policy Unit is undertaking a public consultation to inform the review and ongoing development of Young Ireland, the National Policy Framework for Children and Young People. This is an opportunity to share your views and help inform the continued development of the Young Ireland National Policy Framework. The survey link is open until Monday 30th March and can be found here. The survey will take approximately thirty minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. If you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us at youngireland@dcde.gov.ie. Survey link is here.
